So what are Jerol posts and why are they so good?
Jerol posts are manufactured in Sweden by a patented process from glass fibre composite, and comply fully with the latest European Standard on passive safety, BS EN12767. The process is fully computer controlled ensuring that the highest standards of quality control are maintained. All posts are designed and certified to fully comply with the wind load classification and relevant deflection criteria contained in BS EN 12899-1.
Jerol sign and signal posts are extremely durable, a great electrical insulator, weather and
UV-resistant, plus boast a service life estimated to exceed 60 years!
Range of passive safety classifications
We have a full range of both NE and HE Jerol Signposts.
Jerol NE posts are classified to 100:NE:2
NE or No Energy - The car loses minimal speed in the impact.
100 kph rating – exit speed is between 70kph and 100 kph in a 100kph test. The NE Jerol post is designed to shear or breakaway on impact, and works best in the verges of motorways, dual carriageways and single carriageway roads.
- Steel ground socket for easy replacement
- Supplied in RAL 7023 grey, other colours available
- Diameters 114, 140, 168, 219 and 273mm
- Door and base compartment options
- Fast and efficient installation

Jerol HElix posts are classified to 70:HE:2 / 70:HE:1
HE or High Energy - The car is significantly arrested or slowed in an impact
70 kph rating - exit speed is less than 4 kph and may well be totally halted.
The HElix Jerol post is designed to bend around and flatten under the car bringing it to a relatively gradual halt. The post remains embedded in the ground and will not shear or break free. This ability to stop or almost stop a vehicle at medium speeds make them very suitable for town use to safeguard pedestrians.

Doors and base compartment
If required a base compartment is provided, 1.0m above ground level. The door is manufactured from stainless steel and is powder coated to match the colour of the post. The aperture has a rubber seal and the door has a bonded foam lining to provide a watertight seal and good electrical insulation.
Foundation Socket
The best way to install Jerol posts is with our foundation socket, making installation and replacement quick and easy - in just one visit*.
To install, simply excavate to the required depth, lower the socket into position and backfill. Then insert the post into the socket and align with the supplied plastic wedges. Fill the socket with sharp sand and nish with a mortar cap.
Following an incident the socket remains in place allowing you to pull out the damaged pole and quickly install a replacement.
For posts requiring an electrical connection, we’ve designed our foundation sockets to be compatible with a variety of disconnection systems.
* Subject to appropriate ground and loading conditions.
* Minimum length available 3800mm due to the HE system
