Our latest design of the doorless (optional) Baseflex Raise and Lower Column has proved to be outstandingly successful. Raised or Lowered with a simple portable foot pedal, and with ample space for even the largest switchgear, this design is now being adopted as standard by many authorities. Years of design, effort and investment can all be justified!

This is offered in addition to the Supaflex range of mid hinged columns.

The Need
The need for raising and lowering columns is increasing due to worsening traffic congestion and limited access to columns both of which makes the use of 'cherry pickers' either impractical or impossible.

Following cases of serious injury, when ladders have been used on columns corroded at the base, Health and Safety issues are now of prime importance and have led to an urgent demand for a new design of raise and lower column.

The Mallatite "Baseflex" column, which is currently offered from 4m to 10m is unique in style, and is very flexible in operation and transportation when the integral trolley wheel is deployed.  Operation is safe and simple with the use of the mobile and portable foot pedal tool which can also be utilised as a tool trolley

All internal parts are corrosion resistant and the columns can be locked in position to prevent unauthorised use or vandalism. The "Sentry" flush-fitting hinged door, (optional) ensures an attractive, slim appearance and gives full access to the electrical gear without the need for lowering the column.
